Our annual programs are dedicated to collecting and distributing food, clothing, and other essentials to support those in need within our community. These initiatives provide meaningful opportunities for parishioners to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of others.
With your help, we can continue offering care and support to the less fortunate. Take a look at the programs below to find out how and when you can participate in these incredible acts of charity!
For more information on these programs, don't hesitate to contact the Social Concerns Ministry office at
[email protected] or the individual contacts listed below.
LENT 2025
THE GIVING TREE
This Lenten program gathers the many new household items, toiletries, and cleaning supplies needed to run our Refugee Resettlement program. Not only does it fully supply at least eight refugee family homes per year, but the items also benefit those in need who come to St. Laurence for assistance during crises.
The 2025 Giving Tree drive will take place on the weekends of
March 8/9 and 15/16. If you would like to make an online donation, click on the "Donate to the Giving Tree" tab below. Monetary donation envelopes will be available on the plaza during the Giving Tree tagline. We are asking that items be returned by
March 30th. However, we are always happy to accept contributions at any time in the Social Concerns Ministry Office.
For a complete list of items collected, visit the
Giving Tree page. A sampling of the items we collect: toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, blankets (new), sheet sets (new), towels (new), silverware (new), pots & pans (new), etc. These types of items can also be donated throughout the year as we constantly need to refill our shelves!
Want to make a monetary donation by check? If so, make checks
payable to St. Laurence with Giving Tree in the memo section. Donations can be dropped in the collection basket at Mass in an envelope marked Social Concerns or mailed to:
