CANDY DEPOSITORY

Got extra Halloween candy? We'll happily take it off your hands!  We use the candy throughout the year for various projects, including Share God’s Bounty. Bring your sweet donations to the Social Concerns Office or place them in the SCM bins in the church. Thank you!

SHOE BOX PROJECT FOR SEAFARERS

The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women is asking for help from the parish to collect items for Christmas gift boxes for seafarers calling on the Port of Houston this December. These gift boxes boost the seafarers' spirits while they are away from their families during the holiday season. Needed items include: Hygiene items such as fabric band-aids, Gold-Bond powder or cream, tissues, lotion, lip balm, nail clippers, deodorant, soap, shampoo, combs, toothbrush and toothpaste, dental floss, disposable razors, shaving cream, Q-tips, and hand wipes. Clothing like new baseball caps, t-shirts, socks, and handkerchiefs. Miscellaneous items such as needle and thread, 2027 pocket calendars, playing cards, Texas souvenirs, Word Search and Sudoku books, postcards, pocket-sized notebooks, keychains, magnets, flashlights, and earbuds or headphones. Food items should be non-perishable snacks, chewing gum, and hard candy. Please label your donation “seafarers” and place it in the SCM bin in the narthex or deliver it to the parish or SCM office by Sunday, October 18.
