Conquest For Boys

Conquest gives boys in 5th–8th grade a place to build strong friendships, grow in confidence and character, and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, while having fun and being challenged to live their faith.

Conquest is an ECYD Catholic Youth Ministry Program designed specifically for boys. Through faith, friendship, adventure, service and mentorship, Conquest helps young men discover that their Catholic faith is not simply something they practice on Sundays, it is something they can live every day.

More Than a Youth Group! Conquest meets boys where they are during an important stage of their lives.

Through activities, discussions, service projects, retreats and opportunities for leadership, boys are encouraged to:

• Grow in friendship with Jesus Christ
• Better understand and love their Catholic faith
• Develop strong Christian virtues and character
• Build meaningful, faith-filled friendships with other boys
• Learn responsibility, teamwork and leadership
• Put their faith into action through service
• Become young men who positively influence their families, schools and communities

The goal is not simply to teach boys about the faith. We want to help them learn how to live it.

Built for Boys

• Conquest uses a formation model designed around the needs of adolescent boys.

Virtue-Based

• Activities and formation focus on developing practical Christian virtues that boys can apply at home, at school, with friends and in everyday life.

Team-Based

• Boys grow alongside other young men who are striving toward the same goal. The friendships and brotherhood they develop become an important part of their experience.

Teen-Led & Mentor Supported

• Older teens and adult mentors help lead and accompany the boys, giving them positive examples of young men living their Catholic faith.

Service-Driven

• Conquest challenges boys to look beyond themselves and discover the joy and responsibility of serving others.

Made for This Stage of Life

• The program recognizes that boys learn differently and face unique challenges as they enter adolescence. Activities, discussions and formation are designed to engage them where they are.

Some of the most important conversations with a young man do not always happen while sitting in a classroom.

1. They happen while working together.

2. While serving someone in need.

3. While competing as a team.

4. While sitting around a campfire.

5. While attending a retreat.

6. Or while talking with an older young man who takes his faith seriously.

Conquest creates those opportunities and uses them to help boys encounter Christ, build authentic friendships and begin becoming the men God is calling them to be.

Through Conquest, families also become part of the wider ECYD network, which offers access to additional Catholic camps, retreats, resources and opportunities for formation.

Who Can Join?

Conquest is open to boys in 5th–8th grade.

Whether your son already loves his Catholic faith or is still figuring out what faith means to him, Conquest gives him a community where he can ask questions, grow and develop friendships with other boys seeking something deeper.

Conquest meets twice each month:

1st and 3rd Thursdays
6:30–8:00 PM

Registration Fee: $150
