The Society of St. John DeMatha exists to reveal the love of God to offenders and their families, by helping them to prepare for and to make the transition from prison to a productive life.
The Society of Saint John De Matha is a 501(3)c non-profit organization that exists with Ecclesiastical Approval as a Private Association of the Christian Faithful for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for the spiritual and pastoral need of the People of God and for the purposes defined in the Statues.
Volunteers for The Society of St. John DeMatha assist the inmates at Jester 3 prison and other TDCJ facilities to make successful transitions – spiritually, emotionally and financially – to life outside of prison.
