This summer drive collects and distributes NEW shoes to more than 600 needy children in our community. Beginning in 2001, the St. Laurence Shoe Drive has impacted the lives of more than 11,300 children in need. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of over 700 children this year. The simple gift of a new pair of athletic shoes helps tackle one of the most visible signs of poverty and helps children attend school in comfort and with dignity, better prepared to learn and play. With your assistance and generosity, we will be able to distribute shoes to the following churches and agencies: Abigail's Place, Bethel Ministry, Queen of Peace Catholic Church (our sister parish), Holy Family Catholic Church, Hick's Elementary School, Fort Bend Rainbow Room, Fort Bend Child Advocates, St. Laurence Village Families, Fort Bend County Back to School and Refugee Resettlement. Pick up a tag on the plaza after Mass on the plaza on July 5/6 and July 13/14.
Monetary donations can be made by clicking on the "Make A Donation to the Shoe Drive" button at the top of this page
Shoes may be mailed directly to us at
St. Laurence Social Concerns Ministry 3100 Sweetwater Blvd. Sugar Land, TX 77479
