Planning for the future is an act of love. Creating a will helps make your wishes known and gives your loved ones guidance when they need it most.
Through the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston’s partnership with My Catholic Will, St. Laurence parishioners can create a last will and testament online at no cost. The guided process helps you plan for your family while keeping your Catholic faith in mind.
As Catholics, we are called to care for our families and be good stewards of the gifts God has entrusted to us. Preparing a will is one way to put that care into practice.
My Catholic Will also offers opportunities to express your faith through requests for Masses and optional charitable gifts. If you would like to remember St. Laurence in your estate plans, please contact the parish office for guidance on making a gift to our parish.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Archdiocese sponsors free access through MyCatholicWill.com/ArchGH. Begin through that link to take advantage of this benefit.
How long does it take?
The Archdiocese says the online process can take as little as 20 minutes. Allow additional time to review your document and complete the required signing steps.
Do I have to include a charitable gift?
No. Including a charitable gift is entirely your choice.
Can I make changes later?
Yes. My Catholic Will allows you to edit your will. An updated will must also be printed and properly signed.
Does this replace legal advice?
My Catholic Will provides online forms and educational resources. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Consult an attorney if you need advice about your circumstances.
Make time to plan for the people you love and the faith you hope to pass on.
