Listed below you will find a list of programs that are ongoing throughout the year. REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT
St. Laurence provides material and emotional support for refugee families sponsored through Associated Catholic Charities who are facing the challenge of adapting to American society. Families come from several different locations and cultures: Africa, Burma, Cuba, Colombia, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan just to name a few. For volunteer information, please contact the Social Concerns Ministry office at

THE VILLAGE PROGRAM
Our Village Program matches parish families with families that struggle each month to make ends meet. Car tags, a sick child and no insurance, a birthday, car repairs… all these sorts of events tend to keep struggling families on the edge of financial ruin. Matched families are a wonderful way to offer direct assistance, see the fruits of your labor, and make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
Consider adopting a Village family, hear their story, embrace their struggle, and help them monthly with a gift card (for food, gas, etc.). Monthly gift cards are disbursed by the SCM staff. Monetary values cannot exceed $100.00 per month. If you are interested in becoming a Village adopting family, please contact Christine
in the Social Concerns office at
