Jeremiah 1:7 is an Archdiocesan safe environment program which provides formation for high school-age youth who assist adults in ministry to children and youth under the age of 18. A teen that completes Jeremiah 1:7 training will learn: - how to establish appropriate relationships with children and other teens - age-appropriate knowledge and skills to foster a safe & protective environment - understanding of their ministerial role - how to maintain appropriate boundaries for themselves, with other leaders, & chi - how to avoid vulnerability to accusations of boundary violation
The NEXT Jeremiah 1:7 session is August 27, 6-8 pm
What you need to know to register & attend the training: - advance registration at least 3 days before the training - parent signature is required on all registrations - no walk-ins are allowed the day of the training - late arrivals will not be admitted due to content significance

Can Middle School teens attend the Jeremiah 1:7 training? This training program is only for high school students. With the completion of the 8th grade, rising freshman would be required to take the training in order to begin volunteering at parish events involving younger youth and children, as would any other high school students who had not previously taken the training.
Is the Jeremiah 1:7 program required yearly for high school-aged volunteers? The Jeremiah 1:7 program is a one-time training which remains valid for all four years of high school, until such time as the student turns 18 years of age.
Does a high school student need to take Safe Environment Training for adults? Any student who turns 18 while still in high school will be required to take the Safe Haven training for adults in order to continue serving as a volunteer.
