HOPE (Helping Our Pain Ease) is a 7-week structured series designed to help adults grieve successfully by accomplishing the four tasks of grieving. Also utilized by the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved, Inc., HOPE is an informative and participatory grief support group which provides the skills everyone needs to cope with the death of any loved one, for
any reason, including a sudden, tragic death, or death from a long-term illness, either recently or in the past.
Participants need not be Catholic. Everyone is welcome. Facilitators trained by Houston Hospice lead classes at
two different times; one on Tuesday afternoon and the other on Thursday evening, all at the Ave Maria Center. HOPE offers four 7-week sessions each year, depending on the number of participants.

"Blessed are they who mourn for they shall be comforted."

Grief is truly a natural process. It takes approximately two years to learn to live with the loss of your loved one.
You are not alone. The Catholic Community of St. Laurence is here to support you.
