KC 2026 Essay Contest
We are pleased to announce that the Knights of Columbus Council 11343 Scholarship Essay Contest is now accepting applications. All application details, essay questions, and required cover pages are available below.
Completed essays must be submitted by April 10, 2026 to

Scholarship recipients will be announced in May 2026.Eligibility Requirements
8th Grade Applicants- Must be a registered member of St. Laurence Catholic Parish
- Must be entering high school for the first time in Fall 2026
- Must be attending a Houston-area Catholic high school
- Must be a registered member of St. Laurence Catholic Parish
- May be graduating from any high school (Catholic or non-Catholic)
- Must be entering college for the first time in Summer or Fall 2026

This year, Council 11343 will award:
For 8th Grade Students- Two (2) $1,000 scholarships for students of St. Laurence Parish who will enroll in any Houston-area Catholic high school in Fall 2026.
- Two (2) $2,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors of St. Laurence Parish who will begin their first year of college in Summer or Fall 2026.
