Coping with the sudden or tragic death of a loved one can be very difficult. Survivors are often overwhelmed by the grief that follows an unexpected death, and this may complicate the grieving process. Connecting with others who are also grieving the sudden death of loved ones can facilitate the healing process. These are not counseling sessions. The Grieving Families support group is for those who are grieving the death of loved ones through murder, suicide, accident, or any other sudden death. The group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Ave Maria Parish Life Center in the St. Francis room. Join us for our next meeting. St. Laurence will celebrate a special Mass in honor of Our Lady of Coromoto on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Our Lady of Coromoto holds a special place in the hearts of the Venezuelan people and all who seek Mary’s loving intercession. Her story reminds us that Mary gently leads her children closer to Christ, inviting us to deeper faith, conversion, and trust in God’s mercy.
