Coping with the sudden or tragic death of a loved one can be very difficult. Survivors are often overwhelmed by the grief that follows an unexpected death, and this may complicate the grieving process. Connecting with others who are also grieving the sudden death of loved ones can facilitate the healing process. These are not counseling sessions. The Grieving Families support group is for those who are grieving the death of loved ones through murder, suicide, accident, or any other sudden death. The group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Ave Maria Parish Life Center in the St. Francis room. Join us for our next meeting. Pray the rosary every Friday morning with Deacon Tim and fellow parishioners in the church. You'll be done by seven and on your way to school and/or work with plenty of time! NOTE: The church is closed immediately following the rosary to prepare for Friday morning Mass.

"Come out for Laser Tag & fellowship at Laserzone in Sugar Land! We’ll mix teams, run a few rounds, and grab a bite to eat after. Friendly competition, new friends, zero pressure. Saturday, September 20th, 1:00 PM. Please wear closed-toe shoes.  Approx. $8 per 20 minute round. No RSVP, just show up and bring a friend!”

Admission is $15 per person ages 1+. 36 months and under allowed in the tot spot. Many schools have off on this Friday so we will welcome older children to join us for this playdate!

"Join us for a picnic at Oyster Creek Park Saturday, September 29th, 5:00 PM til sundown! Bring a food item and a non-alcoholic drink to share (please label common allergens). We’ll provide plates/napkins. Bring sunscreen/bug spray, too, and a lawn chair if you have one. We’ll open with a short prayer and icebreaker, then hang out and eat at one of the park benches near the entrance. No RSVP just show up and invite a friend! (Please avoid glass containers.)"
